A while back I wrote a post about my local doppelganger and the fact that there are more Sean Dwyers out there in the world than you might expect, but every now and then I still stumble across new references to my name in unexpected situations. Case in point, this Toronto Star article about the Hell’s Angels. Apparently I am a biker/drug dealer. That’s pretty bad ass.
I’ve known for a while that there is also a director named Sean Dwyer who started out working on the TV series Are You Afraid of the Dark? and has since worked his way up to second unit director on the new Brendan Fraser film Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D. Hey, he could be one step away from directing a big Hollywood blockbuster himself. There’s also an actor named Sean Dwyer who played the memorable role of Paramedic in Mr. Woodcock. (Incidentally, I do have my own IMDB entry too, although it’s not quite as “busy”.)
And then there’s this guy on MySpace, who really takes the cake. It seems he has made some bad decisions in his life that have lead to DUI charges and a house arrest, but he’s doing his best to clean himself up. In fact, he’s even planning to get a puppy. I wish you luck my friend… remember, you’re not just representing yourself, but also the rest of the Sean Dwyers in the world.

Are you happy or unhappy with it? I imagine this crazyness has its ups & downs. My name is pretty unique (the spelling is anyway) so I have never really had any encounters with doppelgangers.
For the most part I don’t really mind… it’s pretty funny. But I guess in some ways it does make you feel a little less unique. I’m thinking about changing my name to Sven.
I used to watch the “Are you afraid of the dark” shows on Nickelodeon when I was younger. That’s cool you are on imdb. What about the acting credits to “The Running Tunnel”??? haha. Also… does youtube count? (since TV and games, etc do count.. I wonder). I’m still hoping for a wikipedia page of my own…
